Examining the pluses and minuses of changing versus staying the same is decisional analysis. When you avoid, you likely over focus on the reasons to stay the same. Over and over, you convince yourself that staying the same isn’t so bad: Driving an extra hour to work to avoid the freeway isn’t so bad.
