Try to adjust the features of the situation so that no two situations trigger the same level of anxiety. To help with this, you can write the situations on slips of paper and lay them out on the floor in order of lowest to highest anxiety, taking care that each slip of paper is a rung on the ladder. If two situations feel as if they would be equally difficult, ask yourself which you would rather do first. You’ll likely select the one that’s a little easier, and you can place that one below the other one on your ladder.
