When you breathe mindfully, you attend to your breath without judgment. To attend to your breath, anchor your attention on some part of your body that the breath touches. You might observe the feel of the air coming through your nose or mouth, the rise and fall of your abdomen, or the way your ribs expand and contract with each breath in and out. Once you have anchored yourself in the present moment through attention to the breath, you can notice and let go of each thought that enters your awareness.
