Thinking traps are rigid patterns of thinking that keep you inside the anxiety box. A thinking trap is a tendency to interpret events in a particular way, such that it’s difficult to think about an event in any other way. Once you’re inside the anxiety box, you feel more and more anxious, and it’s more and more difficult to step outside the box to look at things in a different way.
