It’s important to have principles: values that guide your actions so that you can live a full and meaningful life. However, even principles can bend somewhat to honor another principle. For example, it’s important to tell the truth unless the truth hurts people needlessly. People tell little white lies from time to time, because to tell the truth at all times and in all circumstances can get in the way of having loving and caring relationships.
