Joint Entrance Exam 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Here is the eligibility criterion for Joint Entrance Exam 2016. If you are giving up the JEE exam 2016 then make sure that you fulfill this criterion.
- The general category candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1991 are eligible for appearing in Joint entrance exam 2016. In case of SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), and PwD (Person with Disabilities) candidates, a relaxation of 5 years has been given. This means that the candidates from ST, SC, and PwD, who are born on or after 1 October 1986 can appear in this exam.
- The candidates who have passed their intermediate or equivalent examination are eligible for Joint entrance exam 2016. Candidates who have appeared in class 12 examination in 2016 are also eligible for this examination (possibly if they pass in their examination).
- The candidates should have taken 5 subjects in class 12 or equivalent examination to be eligible for joint entrance exam 2016.
- The number of attempts for JEE exams is limited to 3. This means a candidate can give JEE exams only three times.

Joint Entrance Exam Application Form
JEE application forms are made available in the month of December every year. Sometimes, they are made available in last week of November too. The fee for the JEE examination is different for different caste and gender. It may differ on choice of center and on basis of preferred way of giving this examination. The fee is more if you are using pen & paper as compared to giving the exam online. There will be two papers in total since AIEEE has been merged with JEE couple of years back. Candidates will only qualify for paper-2 if they have cleared the cut off marks of paper-1.

Joint Entrance Exam 2016 Paper Pattern
As told earlier, the exam will be having two papers; paper-2 will only be given by students who have cleared the cut-off marks in paper-1. Here is the paper pattern for Joint Entrance Exam.

A total of 90 questions are asked in JEE examination that has weightage of 360 marks. Make sure that you mark the correct answer only because for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted from the total. You need to clear the cut-off marks for paper-1 in order to become eligible for paper-2. The exam duration will be 3 hours.

The paper-2 will consist of three parts-
- Mathematics
- Aptitude Test
- Drawing Test

Joint Entrance Exam 2016 will be conducted national level in offline as well as online modes. This examination will be conducted in 125 cities of India. JEE 2016 will also be held in 7 cities outside the country namely – Singapore, Bahrain, Kathmandu, Dubai, Sharjah, Riyadh, and Muscat.
