How to get more traffic can be worth the money if you are willing to pay it. The trouble is that it takes money to get the traffic, and if you cannot convert it into paying traffic then you are setting yourself up for a loss. So, buying traffic is not without its risks. On the other hand, it is a way of getting more targeted traffic to your website so you may affect a change that increases your chances of making conversions and sales.

If you are considering buying a bit of traffic, then there is no rule that says you have to spend a lot of money. On the other hand, if you are rushing into it and spending a lot of money on the hopes that you will make a few sales, then you may be in for a disappointment.

Not all paid sources are black hat

There seems to be this idea that if you pay for traffic, then it must be some sort of black hat technique which is either bad for your SEO (Search Engine Optimization), immoral or just plain bad in general. This is not the case, as it is quite okay to purchase traffic, and it may be a good idea if you have figured out a way to sell to your traffic (and sell successfully).

Consider Google AdWords

They are a good place to start if you are looking for a bit of paid traffic. They have an affiliate advertising system that is certainly not a con and that will bring you real traffic to your website for a fee. The great thing is that you can set your own budget and pay whatever fees you wish, and another great thing is the fact that it has lots of free tools you can use to make your affiliate campaign more successful. There is also free tracking software that you can use to see how well you are doing with your campaign.

If you can figure out a way of getting traffic to your website cheaply with this tool, then you can have a constant stream of cheap traffic arrive at your website, and if you are smart then you will have figured out ways of converting that traffic into paying customers.

Consider other affiliate advertising

There are other affiliate advertising options out there for you. They will try to entice you in by giving you more options than the Google AdWords system does. They give you the options of paying for advert impressions or paying for advert actions. Not all of these types of services are on the up and up, so watch out for yourself.

Consider social media affiliate advertising

There are affiliate adverts that appear on social media. You can actually buy into them and have your adverts run on there. It will then bring you traffic from those sites. This is also paid traffic, and some companies find it very useful because websites such as Facebook have people type in some very personal details. You can find out what people are interested in so that you can target your adverts a little better.

Think about using a publicity company

This is a company that promotes your business, products or services. People will then come to your website as a result. This is a form of paid traffic because you have to pay the promotional company to do all the work for you. It is not 100% a sure bet that you will get targeted traffic, but technically there are not any paid traffic functions that offer a 100% sure bet that you will get targeted traffic that is hungry to buy from you.

Consider a SEO company

This is a company that you pay to improve your search engine ranking on the Google search engine results pages. This will draw people to your website which you are then supposed to convert into paying customers. You may think that this is not a paid traffic source, but you are paying the SEO Company to get you results. If they don’t end up sending you targeted traffic, then don’t pay them.

Put your money into directories

There are still some legitimate directories out there that get traffic come to their website. Your inclusion on the website means that people may follow your link and land on your website. The fact that they came from the directory means that they are fairly targeted to start with. They are promising leads if you can get them.
